The 40mm Omnium has a lot of history as it was our first model, debuting at Basel World in 2009.
This was even before our first movement was developed, the K1 automatic.
Omnium was retrofitted with K1 following its re-launch in 2015 and we're now on the second generation with our latest K1 variant.
At 40mm in diameter, it hits that sweet spot for an all-occasion piece, whether in the boardroom or on the hiking trail.
Omnium Instigated our use of 904L stainless steel throughout the Horage portfolio, which is a significant upgrade from the more common 316L counterpart. It is more corrosion-resistant and has a better sheen when polished.
The exhibition sapphire case back displays the K1 calibre.
As a modular design, the K1 retains its dimensions with the removal or addition of core complications (without the use of external modules).
The rotor is laser engraved with HORAGE complemented by the contemporary finish of the bridges.
There are three dial colors to choose from, each limited to 25 pieces for a total of 75, 2nd generation 40mm watches.
The dial features large applied Arabic numerals and diamond-cut hour and minute hands with Swiss SuperLuminova® inserts. The Root Beer dial is adorned with luminous filled hands, however Gorge Blue and Swiss Pearl take things a step further with full luminous numerals. Gorge Blue glows the brightest green as it's finished with white luminous and Swiss Pearl is a little more subdued as it's finished with black luminous.
The lollipop-style seconds hand sports a diamond-shaped aperture in line with the Horage logo design cues. An update to the complication sees the big date from Gen. 1 replaced with a 65 hour power reserve indicator at 6 o’clock.
The show stopper is the facet cut, 5-layer (anti-reflective) sapphire crystal.
It is an instant eye-catcher that subsequently invites you to look further into the meticulous finish of the dial and case details. The layering effect of the crystal also creates a visual step that waterfalls into the lug design.
Dial colours include Gorge Blue Ray, Brushed Swiss pearl and a warm, refreshing Root Beer with corresponding leather straps in black and brown or 904L stainless steel bracelet.
