ALL-TERRAIN JUMPER

EPIC CONTINUATION

THE NEXTCHAPTER

Horage's thin, sporty, Swiss in-house micro-rotor All-Terrain timepiece, the Supersede GMT, captivated the watch community. With further input from our dedicated tribe of enthusiasts, we looked to deliver refined function and a fresh summer look.

Supersede Date is the next chapter in our All-Terrain Supersede lineage.

JUMP HOUR SET & QUICK DATE ADJUST

Leaning on the modularity of the K2 micro-rotor...

... the focus for Supersede Date was to step outside the norm of the classic three hand, date function.

The Horage community and our designers have loved the jump hour set of the Supersede GMT. With the predecessor, we retained this jump hour set and applied it to the hour hand of Supersede Date. The function is perfect for travelling adventurers as it lets the wearer quickly jump the hour hand to the destination time without interrupting the running seconds and minute hands.

Complementing the Jump Hour Set function is the Big Date at three o'clock with Quick Date Adjust. Turn the crown counterclockwise to adjust the date quickly.

DEEP WARM WATER DIALS

Our fascination for and the allure of deep warm waters inspired the dial design of Supersede Date. The result are two meticulously finished dials; Cenote Blue and Black Coral.

Cenote Blue is reminiscent of the blue sun rays created in the many crystal clear cenotes of the Yucatán Peninsula.

Black Coral is inspired by the soft deep water corals of the Caribbean that when worked into jewellery become what is known as black coral.

The highly polished indices and diamond-cut hands that adorn the dials are filled with Swiss Super LumiNova® that glow a deep blue in subdued light.

SUPERIOR STEEL

Horage sets the bar high when it comes to the use of premium materials. 904L stainless steel is revered over 316L for its superior resistance to stress, pitting and corrosion thus making it the ultimate steel for saltwater environments. Not only is 904L corrosion resistant, but the polished and brushed finishes are second to none when achieving a bright and rich look.

The use of 904L stainless steel carries through the entirety of the design starting with the bi-directional rotating timing bezel. A mix of highly polished, brushed and matte textured surfaces are not only beautiful, but they enhance legibility and finger grip on the bezel.

At 10.28mm thin, Supersede case continues the interplay of meticulous hand finish from the lugs to the crown guards and crown.

The 904L stainless steel integrated bracelet with micro-adjustment buckle is the icing on the cake. Tapering from 22mm to 16mm at the buckle the mix of material, finish and proportion work harmoniously together. Choose from either polished or brushed bracelet centre links to customize your Supersede look.

MICRO-ADJUSTMENT CLASP

Developing an ultra-low profile micro-adjustment clasp from the ground up is not a task to be taken lightly.  The Horage team began engineering the micro-adjustment clasp (HMAC) in early 2021 and a year later the first prototype was complete.  It's been rigorously lab-tested here in Switzerland to 5,000 actuations and performs flawlessly.

The 904L steel HMAC is just 5.6mm thin, thus complimenting Supersede's sleek profile. It offers up to 10mm of adjustment in 1mm increments. All Supersede watches ship with the all-new HMAC

K2 MICRO-ROTOR

The in-house movement powering the  Supersede Date is the Chronometer Certified K2 calibre.

At just 3.6mm and from a single barrel K2 delivers over 72 hours of power reserve and can be adorned with either a tungsten or platinum rotor. Through advanced material science and owned IP, Horage is one of the first independents to offer a silicon hairspring, escape wheel and anchor. The combination increases overall movement efficiency, isochronism and is non-magnetic.

K2 took the Horage engineering team 5 years of development and the result was an incredibly precise calibre that is deemed the most efficient, modular micro-rotor on offer across the Swiss watch industry today.

PREMIUM & PRECIOUS

Gold Tungsten

Gold-plated tungsten has been the staple of the K2 micro-rotor development and will be the standard option at checkout. Solid tungsten is considered a premium rotor in watchmaking. Its density exceeds that of solid gold and thus offers exceptional rewinding efficiency. The gold look exudes a classic aesthetic whereas the platinum upgrade has a more modern and technical look to it.  Regardless of your choice, both perform exceedingly well.

Platinum Upgrade

Part of the K2 development journey was looking at using precious metals of either gold or platinum. Platinum exceeded both gold and tungsten in density and thus was the chosen precious metal for those looking to upgrade. The PT950 hallmark is protected in Switzerland and this ensures you receive a true platinum rotor.
