After the launch of the hugely successful GMT and Date versions of the Supersede over the last few years, the trilogy is completed with the introduction of the Supersede Dual Time.

Some wished for a simpler way to track the time in two locations…

...so, we leveraged the design of the K2 Micro-rotor movement, its modularity allowing us to introduce the new Supersede Dual Time.

 Retaining the Quick Date Adjust from the GMT and Date models, allowing for easy date adjustment when travelling. Simply turn the crown counterclockwise to adjust the date quickly.

At Horage our fascination with precision and perfection often leads us on a voyage of discovery about other industries that also value these qualities. When looking for inspiration for the dial on the Supersede Dual Time it turned out we were wearing the answer.

Most of us wear denims or jeans as part of our regular rotation, we all have our favourite, usually well-worn in pairs. That took us on a journey of discovery, it turns out that some of the most valued and sought after denim is selvedge.

Denim aficionados regard selvedge denim is the gold standard of jeans. The Redline Selvedge, which dates to 1927, is some of the most durable made.

We decided to produce a dial texture that pays homage to the tightly woven fabric pattern of this denim, with the red and white colour highlights on the dial giving a nod to the out-seam edges and stitching found in this special fabric.

The quality of selvedge denim is often considered higher than non-selvedge denim because of its durability and uniqueness, two qualities that can also be said of the Supersede.

The dial is enhanced with highly polished indices and diamond-cut hands that are filled with Swiss Super LumiNova® that glows green in low light. 

Horage is committed to the use of the best premium materials for watches. 904L stainless steel is revered over 316L for its superior resistance to the pitting corrosion of sea water, making it the ultimate steel for saltwater environments. Not only is 904L more corrosion resistant, but when polished the lustre and shine are exceptional.

The use of 904L stainless steel carries through the entirety of the design starting with the high lustre polished, brushed and matte textured surfaces of the fixed bezel.

At only 9.85mm thick, Supersede case continues the interplay of meticulous hand finish from the lugs to the crown guards and crown. 

The ultra-thin 904L stainless steel integrated bracelet tapers from 22mm to 16mm at the buckle allowing for a comfortable fitment, enhanced with Horage’s propriety micro-adjustment buckle, allowing for 10mm of adjustment on the go.

Development of our ultra-low profile micro-adjustment clasp was not a task to be taken lightly.  The Horage team began engineering the micro-adjustment clasp (HMAC) in early 2021 with it debuting on the Supersede GMT model.

Rigorously tested here in Biel, Switzerland to 5,000 actuations it performs flawlessly, and now features on many models in our lineup, including the Supersede range and in titanium for the new Autark family.

The HMAC fitted to the Supersede range is made from 904L steel and at only 5.6mm thick perfectly complements the Supersede's sleek profile. Offering 10mm of adjustment in 1mm increments, for that perfect fitment to all wrists. All Supersede bracelets ship with the all-new HMAC. 

The Horage’s in-house movement powering the Supersede Dual Time is the Chronometer Certified K2 calibre.

Modern design and manufacturing processes allow for a thickness of only 3.6mm and the single barrel of the K2 delivers over 72 hours of power reserve. Through advanced material science and in-house IP, Horage is one of the few independent brands to offer a silicon hairspring, escape wheel and anchor. The combination increases overall movement efficiency, isochronism and is non-magnetic. 

The K2 development took the Horage engineering team 5 years to complete, and the result is an incredibly precise calibre that is one of the most efficient, modular micro-rotor on offer across the Swiss watch industry today.
