BAROCK PHIL HARMONY BERLIN

MASTERPIECES OF POPULAR CLASSICAL AND ROMANTIC MUSIC.

A true hidden gem in Berlin: Experience masterpieces of popular classical and romantic music in a unique concert setting. The chamber orchestra Capella Amadeus, a well-rehearsed ensemble of freelance artists, invites you for the seventh time to enjoy and support the concert series "Barock Phil-Harmony."

Originally performed in the neo-baroque Berlin Cathedral, the concert has become an established staple of the Berlin cultural scene at the Berlin Philharmonie. It offers a wide range of popular masterpieces from the Baroque, Classical, and Romantic periods, regularly attracting emerging talents in the music scene.

Schools such as the Karajan Academy allow top young students to perfect their craft and work alongside professional musicians. Founded in the 1970s by Herbert von Karajan, the academy is known as a “talent factory” for the Berliner Philharmoniker. As an independent watchmaker, Horage has similarly raised funds through charitable activities and other means to nurture talented young horologists and help them advance in their field. Seeing this concert come to light at the Berliner Philharmoniker allows us to replicate this process with aspiring musicians as our founder, Andreas and Tzuyu, have a longstanding relationship with the conductor Chin-Yin Huang.

On March 1st 2025, we are specifically sponsoring the Barock Phil Harmony Berlin, featuring popular classical and romantic music by masters Bach, Caccini, Mendelssohn and Strauss. Conducted by Chih-Yin Huang with violin soloists Georgii Moroz and Daniil Gonobolin.

This year, we are especially pleased these to welcome these two talented Ukrainian musicians. Both are known for their diverse musical skills and are frequently finalists in international music competitions. Despite their young age, they are already in great demand with international orchestras.

Watchmaking and music are surprisingly closely related, requiring talent, years of training and passion to realize true artistry. The two even merge with complications like repeaters, where a miniature hammer and gongs are painstakingly perfected to produce a balance of frequency, volume and depth. A grande sonnerie can have two or more separate chimes, and elaborate melodies like the Westminster Chimes can be described as a mechanical symphony.
